Black Bee Honey - British Summer 227g
Multi-floral honey collected sustainably by British beekeepers in wild open spaces of the UK. Created by bees from a wonderful mix of wildflowers, this current batch has a light golden colour, a runny consistency, and a wonderful, floral flavour. A taste of summer in a jar. Sourced from apiaries in Somerset, Lincolnshire, and Powys. Check the back of your jar to see where your honey was produced and the name of the beekeeper who helped craft it.
Size: 227g.
Supporting British beekeepers whilst showcasing the best honey the UK has to offer. Black Bee Honey seasonal varieties demonstrate how the taste, texture, and colour of honey changes dramatically due to the flowering plants surrounding the hives at that time of year.
Their honeys are unpasteurised and unblended, course filtered, and each jar is stamped with the individual apiary location and beekeeper to ensure maximum traceability. Several varieties have been tested for their antimicrobial strength, measured by ‘total activity’ (TA). You’ll find the results of this on the lids of the honeys. The purpose of this was to scientifically prove that quality, raw, British honey can have similar levels of antimicrobial properties as Manuka honey, but with significantly fewer food miles.
