After more than a decade spent helping people celebrate life’s milestone moments at the helm of award winning cake studio The Frostery, we have turned our attention to the positive effect that design, craftsmanship and creativity has on the quieter, everyday moments of our lives through the objects that we use. This time, instead of designing and making everything ourselves, our new creative venture is as shopkeepers of modern craft.

Art-is-an attitude

The Frostery Living is an independent showcase for the craftspeople who, come rain or shine, on the bad days as well as the good, turn up and continue to make their art no matter what. These are the artisans with attitude.

Better Choices

Simple consideration of the way something was made, the qualities it has, the materials and skills used, the thought behind the design and the artisans who made it, helps us to make better choices about what we buy.

Community and Craft

We are a proud member of the Heritage Crafts Association, an organisation  whose mission is to support and promote crafts as a fundamental part of our living heritage. 

Our programme of creative workshops will cover a diverse range of traditional crafts, helping to support the continuing transmission of knowledge and skills associated with traditional artisanry.

Cake Bar

Award winning cakes made by The Frostery in Uppermill will be served alongside a selection of drinks in our new cake bar, opening in 2022.
